[ET Net News Agency, 28 April 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$96.61
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.09 billion, or 13.55% of the market's
turnover. There were 677 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BYD COMPANY
(01211) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.48 billion and HK$1.25
billion, or 11.31% and 9.53% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 47.64% and 38.04% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.17 billion and HK$869.78
million of short sales, accounting for 8.94% and 6.64% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 30.28% and 27.99% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.024, or 0.49%, to HK$4.91. BYD COMPANY ended down HK$16, or
4.03%, to HK$381. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.02, or 0.09% to HK$22.34. MEITUAN-W declined by
HK$1.3, or 1.02%, to HK$126.3.
