[ET Net News Agency, 29 April 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$97.3
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$11 billion, or 11.3% of the market's turnover.
There were 669 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher
value of short sales, accounting for HK$977.22 million and HK$797 million, or 8.89% and
7.25% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 31.35% and
8.04% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$764.88 million and HK$553.81
million of short sales, accounting for 6.96% and 5.04% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.48% and 31.42% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.2, or 0.24%, to HK$83.02. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.04, or
0.18%, to HK$22.14. MEITUAN-W rose HK$4.9, or 3.82% to HK$133.3. CSOP HS TECH jumped
HK$0.046, or 0.94%, to HK$4.938.
