[ET Net News Agency, 29 April 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$177.66
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.46 billion, or 12.64% of the market's
turnover. There were 704 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.86 billion and HK$1.83 billion, or
8.27% and 8.13% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
30.19% and 40.45% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.43 billion and HK$1.23
billion of short sales, accounting for 6.37% and 5.47% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 7.89% and 16.72% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$0.2, or 0.24%, to HK$82.62. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.028, or
0.57%, to HK$4.92. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.04, or 0.18% to HK$22.14. MEITUAN-W jumped
HK$3.7, or 2.88%, to HK$132.1.
